Dr Rachel Rogers received her Bachelor's Degree from Wake Forest University then went to East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine in Greenville, North Carolina. Dr Rogers attended Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock Arkansas for her pediatric residency training. After a few years working in Little Rock in private practice, she moved to Marion to be closer to her family. In 2003, Dr Rogers started MountainView Pediatrics and has been committed to serving the families in Southwest Virginia ever since. Dr Rogers is active in her church. She and her husband, Dr Anthony Clary, are blessed with a blended family of six children so there is never a dull moment!
Jan Marie G. Thompson is a Pediatric Nurse Practioner, who has been with MountainView Pediatrics since 2009. In 2000, Jan Marie received her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from University of Tenneesse at Chatanooga followed by her Masters Degree in the Nurse Practioner Program from Vanderbilt University. After working in two pediatric offices in the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area for over seven years, Jan Marie has made her home in Marion, Virginia. Jan Marie enjoys this area greatly, especially the change in seasons, which is very different from the "hot, hotter, and hottest" weather in Texas. She is involved in her local church and loves doing outdoor activities and traveling.
Dr. Erin Majchrzak Brickley received her Bachelor’s Degree from Truman State University and then went to Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri. Dr. Brickley moved from Missouri to Tennessee to complete her pediatric residency at East Tennessee State University – Quillen College of Medicine. She moved to Southwest Virginia and has decided to stay and dedicate her career to the families of the area. Dr. Brickley joined MountainView Pediatrics in July 2017 and is excited to bring her love for advocacy and healthcare prevention to the practice. She grew up in Missouri and enjoys spending time singing, reading, and traveling to visit family.
Tessa was born and raised in Marion, VA and after her husband graduated from Virginia Tech they relocated back to the area. She then began pursuing her own dream of becoming a nurse practitioner. Tessa is now a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She completed both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing at King University. Tessa is also a Certified Lactation Counselor. Tessa is passionate about the promotion of breast feeding and the care and wellness of children. She is excited to be able to care for the children of the community where she grew up! She and her husband are active members of their local church and have four children. Her career and family keep her very busy but in her spare time she enjoys reading, serving in her church, and crocheting.
Julie is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, whom is excited to be part of the MountainView Pediatrics family. She joined the practice late January 2022, following 1.5 years work in Internal Medicine in the New River Valley. Prior to that, she was honored to serve our nation’s veterans, working more than 10 years with the VA Healthcare System in Johnson City, TN. Julie is a native of Smyth Co and former graduate of Marion Senior High. She completed her Bachelors in Nutrition and Sports Medicine at Virginia Tech, Bachelors in Nursing at Duke University, and later her Masters in Nursing at Old Dominion University. Julie is passionate about investing in the lives of children, tomorrow’s future. She is married with 2 young girls, and they have made southwest VA home. Julie is active in her church and enjoys singing. She is learning to play piano. In her spare time, she prefers being outdoors, horseback riding, hiking or kayaking; while she also enjoys baking and crafting.
Taylor Marvin is a board-certified Physician Assistant who joined MountainView Pediatrics in September 2022. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Emory & Henry College then returned to the area to complete her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Emory & Henry School of Health Sciences. Taylor married her college sweetheart and currently resides in her hometown of Abingdon, VA. She is passionate about giving back to the community and impacting the lives of the upcoming generations. In her spare time, she enjoys being involved in any type of sports, spending time with their goldendoodle, and being on the lake.
Connor is a board-certified Physician Assistant, who joined MountainView Pediatrics in September, 2022. He grew up locally in Abingdon, VA and attended John S. Battle high school. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Emory & Henry college and worked as a pediatric counselor for three years. Connor then returned to Emory & Henry college for his Masters of Physician Assistant Studies and is now a proud resident of Marion, VA. He and his wife enjoy spending time outdoors hiking with their dog, and look forward to becoming more active within this community.
